NORWICH City's Mark Bunn is backing the Stroke Association as his nominated worthy cause for the Aviva Community Fund ahead of Monday's dedicated match with Sheffield Wednesday at Carrow Road.

The Canaries will wear special shirts featuring the Aviva Community Fund logo for the game, with the charity put forward by Mark holding a personal connection after losing his mother to a stroke six years ago.

He told canaries.co.uk: “I have decided to support the Stroke Association as my nomination for the Aviva Community Fund as it’s something close to my heart.

"My mum suffered a stroke out of the blue which she sadly passed away from. It really rocked me and my family’s world and came as a massive shock - to go through something like that was one of the hardest times of my life and seeing what the Stroke Association can do to help support stroke victims of all ages and their families is comforting.

“I have always wanted to help with the Stroke Association and finding out Aviva was calling on people to put forward their favourite charity or worthy cause for consideration really kicked me into action.”

Mark is encouraging the Stroke Association to enter the Aviva Community Fund. Now it's up to you. Nominate a project or charity important to you for the chance to win up to £25,000 in funding from the Aviva Community Fund.
