NORWICH City Football Club are delighted to announce midfielder Bradley Johnson has signed a new three-and-a-half year deal, keeping him with the Canaries until at least 2018.
Joining from Leeds United on a free transfer in July 2011, Johnson has gone on to make 133 City appearances in all competitions to date, scoring 14 goals.
This season, the 27-year-old has featured regularly, striking eight times in 28 Sky Bet Championship matches.
Such impressive form saw Johnson named the Club’s Player of the Month in December, while he also collected the Goal of the Month award for his stunning effort away to Reading in the final game of 2014.
After penning a new contract at Carrow Road, he told Norwich City TV: “I’m over the moon as I’ve already said how much I love the Club and how much I’ve enjoyed my time here.
"I’ve got some good memories of playing here, and I want to make some more now by hopefully getting promoted this year. I believe this is a Premier League Club, and I’ve always said that.
"It was disappointing we got relegated but we’re on a good run and still in the mix to be promoted. That's one of the reasons I signed; because I believe we will be.
"I want to play in the Premier League. I had three great years there with Norwich City, and I want more."
City boss Alex Neil was understandably pleased to see Johnson commit his future to the Club, commenting: "Bradley has been one of our most consistent players since I’ve been here and we’re delighted to have secured his services with this new contract.
“He’s strong, he’s committed and he scores goals from midfield too, as he’s shown so far this season. I'm sure he'll continue to be a big player for us."
