A HOST of pre-match activities and initiatives are being laid on by the Club ahead of this weekend's crunch meeting with Sunderland, following on from the sensational atmosphere whipped up by the Yellow Army in our last home game.

The return of the clap banners proved a huge success during the pulsating 3-2 win over Newcastle United, so 25,000 will be distributed around Carrow Road to help turn the stadium into a cauldron of noise once again.

In addition to the clap banners, 3,000 inflatable Canaries will be given out to young City fans ahead of the game.

The Canaries - iconic from the 1980s and 1990s - will be handed out to children with a match ticket by staff on a first-come, first-served basis outside all four stands at the ground, so our young supporters are being encouraged to arrive early to get their FREE Canary.

Just before kick-off, we will welcome bona fide Norwich City legend Jeremy Goss back onto the Carrow Road turf!

Goss, who made 238 appearances between 1984 and 1996, is accompanying Saturday's Community Heroes Julie Lythgoe and Mark Smith. They are representing the Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind, a local charity for which Goss works as a fundraiser.

Saturday is also our Armed Forces Day, the Club's annual recognition of locally-based service personnel.

We will be joined by representatives of RAF Marham, 1st The Queens Dragoon Guards "The Welsh Cavalry", as well as members of the Forces2Canaries supporters group – who are City fans serving around the county and country in our Armed Forces.

Ahead of the game, we will also welcome charity volunteers from Walking With The Wounded who will be outside Carrow Road with a bucket collection. For more details, click HERE.

Finally, as the two teams enter the field we will once again be playing the traditional version of 'On The Ball, City' - make sure you sing along to help make it a raucous occasion at Carrow Road.

Supporters are urged to get to their seats 15-20 minutes before the 12.45pm kick-off time for what promises to be a very memorable atmosphere!
