Daniel Farke: Away run gives us huge confidence

Daniel Farke says the prospect of making it five away league wins in a row against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday gives his team huge confidence.

After victories on the road at Sheffield United, Middlesbrough, Reading and Ipswich Town, City can equal a club record of five in a row with three points at the Macron Stadium.

"It's a good feeling," said Farke, speaking at his pre-match press conference. "Our away form was really brilliant in the last months. In addition, we had a brilliant performance in the Cup against Brentford and almost won at the Emirates.

"It's a topic that will give us a lot of self-confidence for the game. On the other hand, we know it will be a hard struggle because all of our other away games have been close.

"We have to be concentrated and be there with the same attitude and same fighting will and being greedy and hungry to have another good result on the road."

City's opponents, Bolton, have had a resurgence in form of late and are unbeaten in their last four matches. Farke is wary of the threat they pose.

"I don't have to warn the lads about this situation. Bolton now is not to be compared with Bolton earlier on in the season," he continued.

"They conceded many goals and had many losses. But in the last four games they have been unbeaten.

"They drew at Sunderland and at Fulham - Fulham equalised in the 96th minute. They drew against QPR and beat Sheffield Wednesday.

"So I think it's an experienced team and when you have experienced guy and an experienced coach, they knew from the first minute that they would have to fight relegation.

"We know it will be a difficult task."
