Daniel Farke: We believe in our strengths

Daniel Farke says his Norwich City side “believe in their strengths” ahead of the Nottingham Forest game on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

The Canaries travel to the City Ground on Saturday, and will be up against an in-form Nottingham Forest side who have lost just once this season. However, Farke believes City are prepared for the test they will face.

“We are all fully prepared and I know we are missing some key players, but we know we are capable of winning against good teams when we are at our best, and that’s what we want to do.

“The players know we are capable of beating these teams and getting the points, we believe in our strengths and we know we want to bring our philosophies on to the pitch and compete.

Farke knows that as the season goes on, the squad depth will start to come into play.

He said: “We need to find the balance between rotation and not to breaking the rhythm; I got the feeling over the last few weeks we have found a good solution.”

The City boss was impressed with Forest’s approach in the summer transfer window, and believes Saturday’s opponents have a great mix of exciting technical young players and experienced pros.

“I liked a lot of what they did in the summer with their transfers, and they all fit with the philosophy of Aitor Karanka [Forest’s manager], and have a lot of experience in the likes of Lewis Grabban.

“It’s an experienced side with high individual quality and experience. They have a clear vision and they want to go this way, I am full of respects for them.

“It’s a tough place to go, but no one on in the league would like to play against Norwich at the moment and I can’t think of any game so far during the season when the opponent was by far the better side.”
