Emi Buendia has been nominated for Premier League's December Player of the Month award.
The 23-year-old has been in sparkling form lately after featuring in all of City's seven games throughout the festive period.
He provided two assists during December - the first a terrific through ball to find Teemu Pukki in the draw at Leicester City and the second stealing the ball back against Tottenham Hotspur and allowing Mario Vrancic to finish.
More striking though is the fact he created more chances (29) for his teammates than any other player. The total is also the most by any Premier League player in one month since Opta began recording such data.
Buendia is among eight nominees for the award. Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton), Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Ben Foster (Watford), Danny Ings (Southampton), Adama Traore (Wolverhampton Wanderers) and Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) have also been put forward.
