WES Hoolahan's return the first-team was one of three changes Chris Hughton made for the visit of Manchester United.

The Irish midfielder came in for Johan Elmander, while there were two changes in defence - Ryan Bennett stepped in for the suspended Michael Turner, while Russell Martin replaced Steven Whittaker.

Jonny Howson was still absent from the squad with his back injury, but Hughton named three strikers on his bench with Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Luciano Becchio and Elmander among the substitutes.
