NORWICH City midfielder Alex Tettey is likely miss the final ten games of his side's Barclays Premier League campaign with an ankle injury sustained in Tuesday night's 2-1 defeat against Chelsea at Carrow Road.
The Norway international will undergo surgery on the injury following an MRI scan, and will consequently be sidelined for several weeks.
Speaking to Norwich City TV ahead of this weekend's game at Swansea City, manager Alex Neil said: "Alex's ankle isn't in good shape so unfortunately he needs an operation.
"He's wholehearted player; he went in for a challenge and the lad's landed on him. It's the same injury as one he's had on his other ankle before, which got operated on.
"It's a big blow for him and also for the team as he's probably going to miss the remainder of the season."
