Trio involved during international break

JACOB Murphy played 89 minutes on Saturday as Coventry City edged to a late 1-0 Sky Bet League One win at Fleetwood Town.

The young winger was withdrawn in the closing stages, moments before an injury-time own goal from the Cod Army's Richard Wood settled the contest.

It marked an unhappy return to management for Fleetwood's Steven Pressley, who was taking charge of his side for the first time - ironically against the Club he was last employed at.

Since joining the Sky Blues, Murphy has made 11 appearances in all competitions, scoring once.

In the same division, Remi Matthews was an unused substitute as Burton Albion were narrowly beaten by early promotion rivals Walsall.

Liam Kinsella opened the scoring in the first half at the Banks's Stadium, ahead of Tom Bradshaw's 90th minute penalty wrapping up a 2-0 win for the Saddlers.

The result sees Walsall leapfrog Burton Albion at the top of the table on goal difference, although the Brewers remain in the automatic promotion positions.

Finally, in Sky Bet League Two, Jamar Loza was an unused substitute during Stevenage's dramatic 3-3 draw away to Exeter City.

Teddy Sheringham's men had seemed destined for defeat, only for Chris Whelpdale's late volley to rescue a valuable point.

Earlier in the week, Loza played the majority of the game as Boro were knocked out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy following a 2-1 home reverse to Dagenham & Redbridge.
