Four Norwich City loanees were in action over the midweek fixtures, three of them coming away with a deserved three points.
It was a day to remember for Carlton Morris, who was playing his 150th career appearance. He celebrated in style by getting on the scoresheet for the Milton Keynes Dons once more, as the side overcame Rochdale 2-1. It was the Dale who found the back of the net first, after a set-piece found the head of Ian Henderson.
Morris replicated the effort at the start of the second-half, nodding the ball past the ‘keeper, giving his side the much-needed equaliser. Morris went on to help the Dons find the winner in added time.
Louis Thompson also featured in the game, playing xx minutes before being subbed off after a booking. MK Dons now sit 20th in the league, six points clear of Tranmere Rovers who are in the drop zone.
Sean Raggett continued his run of good form at Portsmouth, playing his 270th minute in a week against Lincoln City. Raggett was a key asset in defence, seeing Lincoln only manage six shots, none of which were on target.
Portsmouth now sit sixth in League One, just six points from the top spot.
Diallang Jaiyesimi made his contribution known as Swindon Town played Colchester on Wednesday evening. DJ opened the scoring in the 48th minute, giving Swindon the advantage, even throwing in a bit of silky skill with a flick during the game!
Unfortunately, DJ's goal alone wasn't enough. Just as the game was coming to an end, Colchester put on a comeback, going on to win 3-1 as they scored three goals in 15 minutes.
Swindon still sit comfortably at the top of League Two, two points clear of Exeter City.
