… SQUAD FITNESS AHEAD OF SATURDAY’S TEST
“We’re all ok, a clean bill of health from Tuesday, which is really pleasing. Fingers crossed we’re going to have more or less everyone ready and available. With Jonny Howson and Gary Hooper, it’s a case of getting their fitness back, players are different; some are naturally fit and can step straight back in, others need a little bit more. We’re really pleased that they both came through it. It’s always about the 24-48 hours after the game, and so far so good, nobody has reported anything that’s going to keep them out.

“It got to one stage where supporters were going away from home and not expecting Norwich to pick a point up or pick three points, so we’re really pleased with how it’s been. Since that first day of the season we’re unbeaten in the league, and we’ve had some fantastic performances and victories in the league away from home. Blackpool is another great opportunity for us, there are three points there waiting to be taken and we’re going to do everything we can to get them.

“They’re a team that’s struggled for results so far, but the reports we’ve had suggest they’re better than the results have indicated. They need to get out of that relegation zone at the minute. They got a draw last week, a respectable draw away from home. A lot of people have said that they don’t really deserve the results they’ve had.

“Of course we’ve got to be aware of that, but what we’re looking for is a continuation of our league form, certainly from the second half against Birmingham last time out and from Brentford and Cardiff, the last times we were on the road.

… STARTING GAMES ON THE FRONT FOOT
“It’s the result at full-time which is the concern. It’s been well-documented that we didn’t do well enough in the first half against Cardiff, but we were in there at 0-0 at Brentford, but ultimately of course it’s about how you finish games.

“If it takes an improved second half performance all the time, we’ll take that as long as we win the game. What we don’t want to do is go in at half-time too often behind, so we’re aware of that. Certainly the last game at Carrow Road we started really strongly and brightly, but then again ironically we go in at half-time 2-0 down, which is something we have to deal with."
