NORWICH City's Under-18s began the 2016-17 campaign in fine fashion with a 6-0 win over Swansea City at Colney Training Centre on Friday.
The hosts went ahead in the 13th minute when Louis McIntosh won a penalty before stepping up to convert the spot-kick himself.
City had a great opportunity to go two goals ahead after Kieran Higgs released Devonte Aransibia through on goal, but he was denied by Swansea's Ross Treacy.
Aransibia capitalised on a defensive error in the 35th minute to extend the young Canaries' lead to 2-0.
In the 41st minute, McIntosh's high pressure forced another defensive mistake before he rolled the ball into the net, creating a 3-0 lead.
Just three minutes later, an excellent display of one-touch football was rounded off by Higgs making it 4-0.
At the HT break, Graeme Murty's Under-18s were 4-0 up and full of confidence heading into the second half.
In the 49th minute, Toby Syme took down Swansea's Mael Davies in the box. Swansea's Causso Darame shot to the 'keeper's right and was denied by Fergal Hale-Brown.
60 minutes in, Devonte Aransibia was on the end of a pinpoint cross from Kieran Higgs, and finished neatly to extend the lead by five goals.
The final goal of the game came after Toby Syme hit the post from range, and Higgs then recieved the ball in the box and curled it around Ross Treacy to make it 6-0 in the 75th minute.
