Norwich City have completed the signing of highly sought-after Lincoln City defender Sean Raggett on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
As part of the deal, 23-year-old Raggett will return to Lincoln on loan until January.
The 6ft5 centre-back started out in Gillingham’s youth system before joining Dover Athletic at the age of 16 where he made over 150 senior appearances.
He moved to Lincoln in 2016, starring in last season’s promotion from the National League and being named in the division’s Team of the Year.
Raggett also played a key role in the Imps’ famous FA Cup run – notably scoring the winning goal away to Burnley in the last 16 of the competition before lining up against Arsenal in the quarter-finals.
In total, the England C international made 51 appearances in all competitions last term, scoring eight times.
Speaking to Norwich City TV, Raggett said: "I’m delighted to be here as it’s a massive move for me.
"It’s a big opportunity in my career and I’m really excited. There’s been a lot of speculation but I’ve just focused on my football and I’m really pleased it’s come off.
"Norwich is a huge club and it was a chance I couldn’t turn down. I’ve had a great time at Lincoln and it will be good to go back for the first few months of the season and thank them for what they’ve done for me."
Head Coach Daniel Farke added: "Sean is a good guy with a lot of potential.
"He is a good character and very strong in the air. We will give him the time to improve as a player.
"As part of his development, Sean will return to Lincoln on loan until January."
