The defender's return to fitness has coincided with a record-breaking run of five consecutive clean sheets in the Sky Bet Championship, the best run of such kind in the club's history.

"I'm happy to have helped the team," Klose told the media ahead of Saturday's trip to Reading.

"We fight as a team and need to keep this run going. It's sending positive vibes around Norwich.

"It's an achievement for the team. My goal is to be a mountain for the younger players and to lead them with the fight.

"We're dealing with things well as a back four. We're hungry to defend. I try to bring my qualities on the pitch.

"Last season was difficult. I struggled in some games but try to improve every day. I've watched videos and learned from mistakes I made last season."

The desire for continous personal improvement is central to a footballer's aspirations according to Klose, who explained: "You have to wake up in the morning wanting to be better when you leave training.

"We have to give that to younger players. If someone struggles, we catch them and bring them back into the boat. We're all in the boat. Nobody is allowed to drown.

"We all work for each other as a team. You can see that, on and off the pitch.

"It's really good this season. We're becoming more and more of a team. It's important to keep everyone in the boat.

"We're not here to judge the players, we're here to help them. The team spirit is very good."
