Norwich City’s Under-18s are up against Premier League side Swansea City at Bisham Abbey National Sport Centre on Saturday (1pm kick-off).
The Canaries go into the game on the back off a 0-0 draw against Chelsea last weekend. The Blues went into the match in third place, but were held by a resilient Norwich side who found themselves unlucky not to be coming away with all three points.
Tom Dickson-Peters and Anis Mehmeti both had glorious chances to put City ahead in the first half, with both efforts drifting wide of the Chelsea right-hand post. Lambert came closest for Norwich in the second-half, but again the striker couldn’t find that crucial goal.
The last time Norwich came up against Swansea they earned their first win of the season, beating the Welsh side 3-1 at Warwick University back in October.
Zach Dronfield opened the scoring for Norwich, but were pegged back level just before the interval. Second-half goals from Tyrese Omotoye and Saul Milovanovic secured the points for the Yellows and rounded off what was a confident performance that day.
The Swans fell to an 8-0 defeat away against league leaders Arsenal last week with the home side scoring four in each half to carry on their good form and to keep Swansea bottom of the Under-18s league table.
