Norwich City’s Under-18s were beaten by West Ham, who took the points at Little Heath Sports Ground on Saturday.
The Canaries were struggling early, conceding two goals in the first 19 minutes with Adrian Akande and Sebastian Nebyla finding the back of the net for the Hammers.
City seemed hopeful later in the first half, scoring by way of Josh Giurgi in the 28th minute, before the Hammers U18s answered with a goal of their own within a minute.
A second goal for Adrian Akande in the second half meant that West Ham took all three points, ending the game at 4-1 in favour of the hosts. The young Canaries play league leaders Fulham next Saturday in the Premier League Cup (12pm KO).
