Matt Gill believes a place in the Premier League 2 Division 2 play-offs is a real possibility with just five games to go of the season.
City’s Under-23s are currently seventh in the table but just three points off Fulham in fifth and the Development Squad boss says his team are looking to finish the season as strongly as possible.
“It was disappointing last Friday [against Wolves] so it’s a good opportunity to bounce back,” said Gill. “We’d been on a good run prior to that, six wins and a draw in eight games.
“We’ve had a good few days training and a bit of time off which was needed by everyone because last week was a busy one for some of the lads with the FA Youth Cup game and our game.
"That’s the team aim [making the play-offs]. There’s also lots of individual aims between now and the end of the season for the lads.
“As far as a team aim goes, we’ve got to be looking to give ourselves a chance of getting in-and-around that mix.
“There’s five games left and the lads are looking forward to finishing as strongly as we can.”
City take on West Bromwich Albion on Monday night (7pm) and the two sides drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture at Carrow Road back in October - Gill is expecting another close encounter.
“We had the game against them at Carrow Road which finished 1-1 and both teams missed a penalty. It was a tough game.
“All the teams in this league are very similar so it will be a tough game again. Like us, most teams change a little bit. Ours has changed quite a bit in recent weeks.
“We’ll be focusing on our strengths and making sure we attack the game as much as we can.”
City’s match with West Brom on Monday evening (7pm) takes place at the Aggborough Stadium, home of Kidderminster Harriers. You can follow proceedings at canaries.co.uk or on our Twitter account.
