Norwich City Under-23s drew 1-1 against Exeter City Under-23s in the Premier League Cup at St James’ Park on Thursday.
Goalkeeper, Jon McCracken was tested a few times in the opening period of the game, most notably making a smart stop from Jack Sparkes 17 minutes into the first half.
City striker Ant Spyrou put the visitors ahead 22 minutes in, cutting inside from the left before spectacularly smashing the ball past Felix Norman and into the top left corner of the Exeter goal.
The Canaries continued to threaten Norman’s goal, both Spyrou and Isak Thorvaldsson hitting the crossbar in quick succession.
The Grecians equalised towards the end of the first-half, Joe Randall’s cross fell kindly for Ben Seymour to tap in from a few yards out to make it 1-1.
Norwich continued to create chances after the break, Devonte Aransibia hitting the woodwork once again for the Canaries.
Spyrou gave the visitors a scare in the final few minutes, but were unable to find a winner after once again finding himself unlucky to grab a winner, as he saw his effort clip the top of the bar.
