Signed in the summer of 2020 as a midfielder, Jacob Sørensen has spent much of the 2020/21 season looking comfortable at left-back for Norwich City.
After beginning his youth career at SGI Fodbold, Jacob spent eight years with Esbjerg fB's youth setup before being promoted to the first team.
He then made just shy of 100 appearances in Denmark from 2016 to 2020 before bringing about the interest of Daniel Farke and Stuart Webber.
Last season, following an injury to Xavi Quintillá in the warm up, Jacob got his first start for Norwich at left-back and went onto make 34 appearances for the club, the majority of which came at full-back.
He scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest in December 2020 and was rewarded, for his performances last season, with a new deal at the club in the summer.
