Born in northern Kosovo, Milot started his career at FC Vushtrria, where he made his professional debut at the age of 16 and scored nine goals in 21 matches between 2013 and 2015. He won the Football Superleague of Kosovo with Vushtrria in 2014.

His performanes there earned a move to Dutch side Vitesse, where he played three season and netted 15 times in 100 matches. It was at Werder where he started to really make a name for himself though scoring 12 goals in 30 matches in the 2018/19 campaign as the club finished in eighth position.

Werder struggled the following two campaigns, battling against relegation, but Milot still scored 11 in 34 games and three in 26 matches in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

At international level Milot represented Albania up through the youth levels and twice at full international level before switching to Kosovo when the country was accepted as a member of UEFA in 2016.
