Norwich City are excited to announce a partnership between the club’s official esports team, 1J Esports, and Boost Gaming for the 2022/23 season.
Boost Gaming, by Blackhawk Network, are a widely recognised and trusted brand in the industry. They provide gamers with a single online destination for users to instantly purchase a wide range of digital gift cards, including wallet top-ups and subscriptions, for the biggest brands in mobile, console, and PC gaming.
As part of our partnership, the club has integrated the Boost Gaming API into a new section of the club’s shop website, where supporters will be able to purchase a selection of Boost Gaming products.
This exciting collaboration continues to drive forward our recent esports activity and will strengthen the club’s offering in this space by providing our supporters with instant access to digital products from the biggest brands in gaming.
The Boost Gaming brand will soon become familiar across 1J Esports channels through competition ownership and branded content and will also feature on a 1J Esports merchandise line.
Jonathan Casbon, head of partnerships at Norwich City, said: “Boost Gaming is a highly credible brand who join our esports partnership portfolio to help continue the growth of the 1J team.
“Through our innovative partnership, we are providing fans with a fantastic offering to support their gaming experiences and I look forward to seeing the exciting activation plans we have in place come to life this season.”
Scott Aird, head of gaming at Blackhawk Network added: “This partnership comes at a time where gaming and esports continues to become more mainstream, so it’s fantastic to welcome 1J Esports into our community.
“Offering them a one-stop-shop via their own online store enables a convenient way for their supporters to purchase digital gift cards. This is a great additional service to what they offer today, and what they are building out for a long-term future in the sport.”
