1J Esports are delighted to announce the loan signing of Damian 'Damie' Augustyniak from Tundra Esports.
Damie, a highly rated FIFA professional from Poland, has partnered with 1J Esports and will team up with Lyricz, who became Norwich City's first esports player last month, for the upcoming FIFAe Club Series.
You can keep up to date with everything 1J Esports on Twitter and the website.
"It's been great so far and I feel really welcome here," Damie told canaries.co.uk. "Honestly, I have huge expectations for this team, so bring on the Club World Cup and we'll see what we can do.
"It's only the start and we haven't had many tournaments yet, but it's looking very promising so far and I hope we can deliver good results."
Damian has been playing FIFA professionally since February 2018, currently representing Tundra Esports where he has been since October 2020. Damie previously represented AS Roma for two years of his career and played for Fulham in the ePremier League last season.
Highlights of Damie’s FIFA career came in FIFA 20 where he reached the semi-finals of the FIFAe Club World Cup and in FIFA 19 where he won Season 4 of the Gfinity Elite Series.
"I've had my ups and downs," he said. "I've been in the World Cup before and I'm looking to get there again because last season didn't go according to my plan, so I'm looking for a redemption story.
"People can expect good content from us, not just on our streams but also in the tournaments. Whenever you can watch our games, they will be exciting with a lot of goals, good skill moves and good moments, so I hope we can deliver some great emotions for our fans.
"I grew up and lived in Poland for 17 years. I've had some good memories here and there and hopefully, now that I have a chance with Norwich, we will make some new memories and good results together.
"My favourite Norwich player is Przemyslaw Placheta and I actually played with him a few years back!"
