Max Aarons and Grant Hanley have been forced to withdraw from the England Under-21 and Scotland national teams for the upcoming international fixtures.
Aarons suffered a blow to the head during City’s 1-0 victory over Swansea City at the weekend. Following the game, Aarons reported signs of concussion and, owing to the FA’s protocols, will now miss England Under-21s’ fixtures against Andorra and Albania.
Hanley will also be absent for Scotland’s upcoming international fixtures against Slovakia and Israel following a minor hamstring complaint.
Both players will spend time over the coming week working with the club’s medical team at the Lotus Training Centre.
