Academy Operations Manager
Location: Lotus Training Centre, Norwich
Contract and hours: Permanent, 40 hours per week, any five days out of seven as agreed
Salary: £30,000 per annum, plus company benefits
The purpose of the Academy Operations Team at Norwich City Football Club is to effectively support and develop the player off the field and ensure the daily operations of the games and training programme is of the highest standard.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fantastic candidate to join the Academy Team at Norwich City Football Club in the role of Academy Operations Manager. This role will be responsible for the effective management and operational support throughout the Academy, including but not limited to football administration, transport and logistics, and Academy operational policies and procedures.
This is an excellent role for someone with great organisational skills to support with maintaining accurate and accessible documentation. The ideal candidate will have previous experience or an enthusiasm to manage a team.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organise and prepare registrations for all non-compensation players’ trialling and registering at the Academy on the FP and YDP programme
- Support the Assistant Club Secretary for all compensation players’ trialling and registering at the Academy on the PDP programme
- Ensure all paperwork is forwarded to the EFL/PL/FA in a timely fashion
- Be a key member of the Academy MDT regarding the induction and end journey of registered Academy Players, overseeing and managing the process among other staff
- Organise and manage the PDP Games Programme, for both home and away fixtures, including attending to match days
- Review and develop all data, administration and communication processes for the Operations Team, ensuring that an effective and efficient service for the Academy is being run at all times
- Line management of the Academy Operations Assistant and Academy Recruitment Assistant, as well as our casual workforce of Academy transport and matchday staff
- Manage and oversee the Academy calendars for scheduling purposes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Academy Operations Assistant
Location: Lotus Training Centre, Norwich

Norwich City Football Club are looking for an Academy Operations Assistant based at our Lotus Training Centre, supporting within the Academy in the YDP/FDP Team.
The purpose of this role is to provide effective and efficient operational support to the Academy, including but not limited to football administration, operations, and recruitment. Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as excellent organisation skills in order to support all areas of administration throughout the Academy as appropriate.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Academy Operations Manager with the Academy calendars for scheduling purposes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and assisting with the delivery of matchday events
- Be part of the Academy Operations Team in attending PDP, YDP, FDP tours, tournaments, and overnight competitions in respect of supporting the players. Lead on the risk assessment aspect of the tour documentation to ensure effective planning and execution
- Deliver and manage the weekly transport plan throughout the year to facilitate all PDP/PDP/FP and team travel
- Act as a point of contact for all academy drivers, chaperones and matchday staff, and assist with the management of all academy vehicles
- General administrative duties including but not limited to; raising PO’s, organising meetings, answering phone calls, distributing emails, maintaining file system
