Norwich City Academy progressed in the Norfolk Hire Senior Cup with a 2-0 win over Sprowston FC at the Avant Training Centre.
The Canaries were comfortable in possession throughout the first half and created the first chance as Kingston Simbai saw an effort go off-target.
Toby Chilvers then had a couple of opportunities on goal, but the Sprowston goalkeeper did well to make a number of saves.
And just after the half-hour mark, Norwich were ahead. Hugo Valencia Gomez found the bottom corner with a fine finish to open the scoring.
Ben Tree and Chilvers were close to adding a second goal before half-time, but the away team defended well to deny both efforts.
Sprowston came close to finding a leveller via a free-kick, which flashed just wide of Ethan Binnie's posts.
But it would the Canaries who would find the next goal. A Valencia Gomez free-kick was met by Tree, who side-footed beyond the goalkeeper.
Sonny Rowland was close to a third for Norwich, jinking in the area before seeing his effort saved well.
