Jaiden Owen scored a late winner on Tuesday night as a Norwich City Academy side defeated Fakenham Town 1-0 in the Norfolk Hire Senior Cup quarter-final.
City put out a team of players mostly from the Under-18s squad for the midweek trip to the Daly Group Stadium.
The hosts provided a stern test for the young Canaries but Owen's 89th-minute goal was enough for Greg Crane's side to clinch the tie and set up a semi-final clash with Dereham Town.
That semi-final is due to take place at the Harrod Sport Arena at the FDC on Tuesday, February 18 (KO 7.45pm).
