For the last five weeks Active Canaries has provide challenges, resources, and inspiration in three main areas – Get Moving, Get Learning - alongside Junior Canaries, and Get Caring, and what a journey it has been.
Week five information is below – we hope you find it useful. If you take part in any of the activities, don’t forget to let us know by tagging the Club and the Foundation on social media.
We’re going for a big finish this week with the help of Luke Sweeney from the Community Sports Foundation, who is also a personal trainer.
Here are a few quick exercises to get you moving:
Exercise 1 - Single leg alternate toe touches
Complete 4 sets of 10 repetitions each leg
Exercise 2 – Single leg marches on the spot
Complete 4 sets of 20 repetitions
Exercise 3 – Walking intervals
Complete 5 mins walking as fast as possible rest or walk slowly for 60 seconds, repeat x3
Exercise 4 - Stair climbs
Complete 2 controlled accents of staircase as fast as possible, rest 60 seconds repeat x 3
Junior Canaries and the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation have developed some Norwich City themed resources to help parents with home-schooling.
