Norwich City and Canada winger Ali Ahmed helped his national side to a 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday evening, making his FIFA World Cup debut.
After falling behind in the first half, the hosts introduced fresh legs in search of an equaliser and were rewarded when Cyle Larin found the net to secure Canada's first-ever point at the tournament.
Ahmed played the final 29 minutes of the tie, providing a lively outlet on the right side after replacing Tajon Buchanan.
The draw was enough to see Canada finish the day top of Group B, edging Bosnia and Herzegovina with less yellow cards.
