Under-23s coach Alan Neilson says it wasn't up to the team's standards to concede three goals by set-plays against Reading on Monday evening.
The U23s went 2-1 down by half time, but came back to take a 3-2 lead going into the final minutes of the game, before conceding the leveller with the last kick of the game.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Neilson said it was disappointing to see the team concede all three goals to set-plays after such a strong performance in open play.
"It was a very interesting game. I think we've got standards. I thought we started the first five minutes okay, but then we got a bit sloppy and tried to do things which we haven't been doing.
"We need to pass, move and try to get forward. We didn't do things right, so a few of their goals were very disappointing, all of them came from set-plays which wasn't good enough defensively.
"It's sloppier to concede from three set-plays. It's part of the game, you score goals and concede them. If they stuck one in the top corner like Aston Villa did you can stick your hands up and say fair enough, that's a good goal, but the goals tonight were sloppy.
"Apart from that, they never really troubled us, maybe a little bit down the left-side but they had no shots in the first 25 minutes of the second half and that shows the dominance we had and chances we created."
While the U23s coach was more than happy to see his side's comeback from two goals down, Neilson made it clear he wasn't happy with the side conceding six in their last two games.
"I was happy to see them come from behind and take the lead. I always say to them about getting on the ball and not go hiding when we go behind, show them what we're made of. We keep on coming back, we did it in the last game.
"But, to concede three goals in both games, it's not good enough defensively. It's not just the defenders job, it's the whole team, getting players in the right spots, doing their job at the right time and telling other players to do their jobs as well."
However, despite the last-minute equaliser, Neilson praised his side's mentality throughout the game, saying that the team will learn from their mistakes.
"I'm happy with their mentality, but that's standards. You can talk to any football team leaving a game, if they concede five minutes into injury time they won't be happy.
"The five minutes of added time was actually up by the time they took their throw in, the referee could've blown at any time, so the lads have to deal with that. We've got to have people in the right spots. We'll look at it, analyse it and show the lads. Any mistake is a good mistake if you learn from it."
