Norwich City Under-21s coach Alan Neilson says he is expecting a really tough game as his side welcome Leeds United to the Lotus Training Centre
"We're obviously looking forward to the game," Neilson says.
"With all our analysis work, we always look into the opposition. Despite the results, Leeds have been very good in their last two games, they've just not been able to put the ball in the back of the net.
"We are expecting a really tough game, they play like their first-team. They'll be at us, if they give the ball away they'll be looking to counter-press. We've worked on that this week, moving the ball quickly and try to play the ball around them."
The Under-21s were last in action away at Sunderland two weeks ago, where they were held to a goalless draw at the Academy of Light. Neilson says the side have worked on their attacking play, following the game.
"We've looked at things, following the Sunderland game. We knew they had conceded a few goals before they played us, and they played a little bit safer against us as a result. We couldn't find a way through it on the day.
"We lacked the quality in the final third and with the final pass. We were just unable to break Sunderland down. We had a few chances in the game, but didn't create enough.
"Throughout the week afterwards, we worked on getting in behind, and then hopefully on the day, we'll be able to put the ball in the back of the net in games. But the pleasing thing again for me was that we kept another clean sheet - that's two in two now.
"We'll say to the defenders for the Leeds game, it's up to you to make it three in a row."
Ahead of the game, Neilson says the team are in a good place and training has been positive in the buildup.
"Training has been good ahead of the game. With any game, we have a four day build-up. We start by working on the defensive side of our game, making sure we have a good shape and press from the front. Then, it's working on the attacking part of the play. All about creating the best chances and getting into the best areas.
"We then work on movement, and all our patterns, working on how we can play through the teams. Then before the game, it's all down to the match preparation. A short and sharp session, working on set plays."
