Norwich City Women have parted company with head coach Andy Cook.

Norwich City Women have parted company with head coach Andy Cook.

Assistant coach Ethan Scott has also left his position at the club.

Cook joined the Canaries in the summer of 2024 from Newcastle United Women, having been the Magpies’ assistant coach.

He achieved promotion to Tier 3 in his second season with the club after City beat Moneyfields in a play-off final last weekend.

Scott has been part of the women’s set-up since 2018, initially working with the club’s reserve side until joining the senior team in 2021.

Head of women’s football Flo Allen said: “This has been an incredibly difficult decision to make and it's not one we've taken lightly.

"Andy was set a clear objective when he joined the club two seasons ago - achieving promotion to the third tier of the women’s football pyramid.

"I have huge appreciation for the work that Andy has done to get us over the line in doing that.

"Despite that, we have taken stock of what we believe is required to move our programme forward and to ensure that we not only sustain tier three status, but remain competitive on the pitch moving forward.

"I would like to place on record my wholehearted thanks to both Andy and Ethan.

"They left no stone unturned in their roles working with the team. They both depart with our thanks and well wishes."

All at Norwich City would like to place on record our thanks to both Andy and Ethan for their hard work and contributions to the club.

We wish them all the best in their future careers.

The club will now progress with its plan of appointing a new head coach and assistant coach.
