Angus Gunn spoke to Canaries TV following the side's defeat away to Luton Town on Boxing Day.
"I didn't think there was too much of a game to be honest," Gunn says. "They've probably had the better first half, we were pretty honest about that at half-time.
"And I thought we were better in the second half in spells, and then there was two goals we gave away. When we equalised, we thought we had a bit of momentum.
"Obviously they got the red card and made it difficult for us. But it was a really sloppy one at the end."
There was a change in shape for Norwich in the game, with Dean Smith opting to play a back three, with Grant Hanley, Andrew Omobamidele and Ben Gibson all starting at Kenilworth Road.
"It's obviously a little bit different for me. If there's more defenders in front of us, maybe we should be more solid. But the goals conceded were more individual mistakes.
"We need to eradicate those mistakes, and there's many places where we can improve and get better."
The Canaries are back in action on Friday night, as they host Reading at Carrow Road.
"We have to go and win, be on the front foot. Back at home, hopefully the fans back us and we give them something to cheer for, and get all three points."
