Angus Gunn has won the fan-voted War Paint for Men Player of the Month award for February.
The Norwich City goalkeeper featured in all four of the club's Premier League games during the month, making a number of key saves.
"It's obviously a pleasure to receive the award and I'm really thankful to whoever voted," he said.
"At the end of the day, we've not picked up the points that we thought we should have this month, so ultimately it's bitter sweet.
"Hopefully, in the next few weeks to come, we can put that right.
"The fans have been really good in this period for us and we're really thankful for their support. They've been pushing us a lot and we hope we can repay them with a good run of games and a few wins."
Gunn has had to wait patiently for his opportunity in the Norwich goal this season, stepping up in the absence of the injured Tim Krul.
"It gave me a good chance to get a good run in the team and I'm feeling more confident every week," he said.
"I'm really thankful for the manager's trust. Working here with Ed (Wootten) and all the lads every day, I'm just trying to keep focused and keep my head down."
From the team's perspective, it was a difficult month, with defeats to Manchester City, Liverpool and Southampton.
"It's always going to be tough against teams like that," Gunn said. "The Crystal Palace game was one of our worst performances and we got a point out of it, so that was pleasing.
"You hope you can pull a freak result out, but it's not been our time yet this year, so hopefully it will come this season as we've got a few of the big teams left still. We're hoping we can pull off a big upset.
"Against Liverpool, in the first half we were on the front foot and stopping them playing. We did well there in spells. Ultimately, they capitalised on a few mistakes, but that was a positive from the month and if we perform like that in the games we've got left, we'll pick up more points."
With Krul returning from injury and Michael McGovern continuing to train with the squad, there remains competition for the goalkeeper jersey.
"It's brilliant for Tim to be back now and Micky has done really well in the cup. It's a great group of lads who I really enjoy working with. We definitely push each other every day.
"If we can go and beat those teams around us, we'll definitely be right in there and give ourselves a chance."
