Good evening and welcome to Carrow Road for our Junior Canaries’ takeover fixture against AFC Bournemouth.

Our Carabao Cup nights are proving popular with families and young fans coming to watch Norwich City for the first time and we know that there will be another special atmosphere for the visit of tonight’s opposition. Cup fixtures always have a different feel to them and the instant jeopardy of a cup game adds a touch of drama and adds to the intensity of the occasion.

It is important to make our Carabao Cup fixtures affordable and fun for the family. This is a special place and we are working hard to make sure that the next generation of football fan in Norfolk chooses Norwich City to be their club.

We are exceptionally proud of our family values and we are driven in part by a desire to be inclusive, diverse, and to make Norwich City, truly, a Home for Everyone. This is a vibrant community and we want to make sure that Norwich City’s young fans get the opportunity to watch their team at an early age.

We have now launched all three of our kits and we are delighted with the acclaim that our traditional yellow shirt, along with our changed colours, have received from supporters and industry experts in recent weeks. We know how important the kit is and there is always widespread anticipation among our fanbase before we launch our shirts each season.

Our home kit was declared the number one shirt in Europe by the prestigious football title FourFourTwo and our entire collection was also praised by ClassicFootballShirts, who are well regarded in this area.

Working with Joma, our technical kit supplier, gives us a creative licence that allows us to evolve, innovate and develop our shirts in line with modern techniques and methods.

Our distinctive home colours will never change, but the excellent relationship we have with our kit partner allows us to come up with cutting edge designs that have a fresh look and feel about them, while holding on dearly to our heritage and history.

There is always pressure to come up with a playing strip that will excite our fans and we are delighted that Sam Jeffrey and his excellent team have met that challenge.

Following the game tonight, our thoughts turn back to the league and the trip to the Stadium of Light next weekend to take on Sunderland in a 12.30pm kick-off.

We are well aware of the difficulties this adjusted kick-off time presents for our travelling supporters and we would like to thank those who have already bought tickets for the long trip to the north east.

Although these programme notes have been written more than a week before we travel for the game, the latest figures indicate that there will be more than 1,000 fans in the away end.

Many of you will be leaving on coaches from Carrow Road at 4.30am and although it is an incredibly early start for a fixture we hope to give you the result that your commitment deserves. It makes such a difference to the players to know that your support is there and they regularly speak about the amazing support we get on the road, so it is hugely appreciated.

Enjoy tonight’s game.
