Here are the notes ahead of today's Sky Bet Championship fixture against Sheffield United:
Good afternoon and welcome back to Carrow Road.
The international break has given us time to reflect on the season and today’s game gives us an opportunity to test ourselves against one of the form teams in the Sky Bet Championship.
As we enter the final stages of the season the incentive is there to show our qualities in these games and we remain determined to make an impact at the top end of the table.
Today also represents an opportunity to highlight some more of the work at the club around equality, diversity and inclusion.
We have received recognition in this area and former Premier League chair Peter McCormick will today present our accreditation after we reached the preliminary level of the Premier League Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Standard (PLEDIS) towards the end of 2022.
The club was assessed by an independent group during a series of site visits and we are delighted that our work in this area met the Premier League thresholds.
During this period, we appointed an inclusion and wellbeing officer, which is a dedicated role to support EDI at Norwich.
Some of our campaign successes include the creation of ‘A Home for Everyone’ to champion inclusion and also the incorporation of Norwich City Women.
Our women’s team has an increasingly important role to play in the future of the sport in this area and that has been reflected in the number of tickets sold for our fixture with Ashford Town here at Carrow Road later this month.
We have already sold more than 5,000 tickets for the game and we know our players will thrive in the big match atmosphere.
It is our responsibility and part of our remit to help develop the game in the area and we want the women’s team to serve as an inspiration for the young people who grow up wanting to pull on the Norwich shirt.
Today it is about the men’s first-team fixture and we welcome back a number of players who have been away on international duty over the past two weeks.
We know what a huge honour it was for Angus Gunn to pull on the Scotland jersey for the first time in his country’s 3-0 victory over Cyprus.
It is reward for hard work and dedication, and we know how much it means for the players when they are selected by their country.
Angus, along with Grant Hanley and Kenny McLean, was also able to follow up that first cap with a massive win against Spain during the week.
Adam Idah featured for Ireland in their game against World Cup finalists France and experience of these types of matches will only help his development.
We have a number of senior internationals in the squad and David will be pleased that they are back in Norwich colours this weekend for the visit of Sheffield United.
