Norwich City defender Brad Hills has signed a contract extension at the club until 2025, with an option of a further year.
Hills has been a regular for the club's Under-18 and Under-21 sides, progressing through the various age groups at the club. He was rewarded with a senior call-up for October's trip to Burnley, being named on the bench for the first time.
On signing his new contract, Hills said: "It's amazing to sign another deal. It's all about getting the next one now, focusing, and keep on working hard.
"My season is going pretty well, we've had a few disappointing results recently but we've been doing alright. Obviously we want to play better, because who doesn't want more? But, it's a long season and I'm sure we'll be alright in the end."
After impressing in the Under-21s this season, the defender was involved in the first-team fixture away to Burnley.
"It's a dream come true," he says. "Being a local lad from Norwich, I've been watching them for many years, sitting in the stand, and then I was sitting on the bench with all the players I've watched before. It's amazing!
"I still can't believe it now, it was so surreal. But it's what I want to do, and where I want to be. I've got to get used to that now, and it just makes me want to be there more and be around it."
As a defender, Hills has two sources of inspiration to look to as he continues his development - in the form of Andrew Omobamidele and Jonathan Tomkinson.
"It's amazing to see how well Andrew has done. A couple years ago, I was training with him and now he's starting every week. But that just shows that the pathway is there for me, and I know if I keep working hard I know that I can follow in their footsteps.
"Moving forward, I want to play in the first-team. I need to keep doing what I'm doing, hopefully get another contract in the future and make my debut!"
