Norwich City Women goalkeeper Bryony Williams has been named the Women’s Player of the Season for 2021/22.
This season was Williams’ first in the first team with Norwich City Women, who secured safety in the penultimate game of the FA Women’s National League Division 1 South East season.
"It's an absolute honour and privilege to receive this award and I couldn't be happier about it," Williams told canaries.co.uk.
"The other players voted for me so it feels extra special. I'm just glad I could contribute to what turned out to be a good season for us.
"Avoiding relegation was such a challenge given how far from safety we were towards the end of the season, but we maintained the belief that we could do it.
"I want to improve, keep the positivity and push for promotion next season.
"It's a very exciting time with the restructure of the club and The Nest is such an amazing place. We're so grateful to have such a facility and we're really looking forward to what comes next."
