Canaries chosen for international duty

Three of the current Norwich City first team will be on duty, with Angus Gunn and Kenny McLean joining up with Steve Clarke's Scotland side, and Marcelino Núñez included in the Chile squad. Having already secured their place in EURO 2024, Scotland continue their preparations for the tournament with friendlies against the Netherlands and Northern Ireland. Núñez and his Chile team-mates will take on Albania and France in international friendlies, to be played in Parma and Marseille. A number of the club's players currently on loan, have also been invited to their respective squads this week. Adam Idah, currently at Celtic, is in the Republic of Ireland squad chosen by their interim head coach John O'Shea. They play two home friendlies in Dublin, against Belgium and Switzerland. Tony Springett (Northampton Town) will again join Jim Crawford's Republic of Ireland Under-21s as they prepare to take on San Marino in the UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign. Now with Cliftonville in the NIFL Premiership, Sean Stewart is in the Northern Ireland Under-21 squad that are away to Serbia on Tuesday, March 26. Christos Tzolis has been selected for the Greece senior side by Gus Poyet after 25 goal involvements in 27 games for Fortuna Düsseldorf this season. Jonathan Tomkinson will join up the USA Under-23s who will continue their 'Path to Paris' with games against Guinea and Olympic hosts France. Academy player Elliot Myles returns to the Welsh Under-17 set-up where they will face Romania, Sweden and Bulgaria in the 2024 UEFA Under-17 EURO Elite Round. Josh Sargent and Grant Hanley were also chosen in initial squads, by USA and Scotland respectively, but have now withdrawn due to injury and fitness concerns. Norwich City Women's player Eloise Morran has also been selected by Scotland at Under-19 level.
