Norwich City came from a goal behind to beat Coventry City 2-1 in the Sky Bet Championship.
Callum O'Hare had given the visitors the lead early in the second half but when Josh Sargent's equaliser was followed by a red card for Liam Kitching, the result seemed inevitable.
The home support were made to wait for the winning goal though, and it was worth it when it came, a stunning effort from Borja Sainz in the 84th minute.
David Wagner had made one change from the previous league outing, a 1-0 defeat at Elland Road, with Christian Fassnacht replacing the injured Jonathan Rowe.
The Canaries tested first with Fassnacht's effort stinging the palms of Bradley Collins while Josh Sargent couldn't get enough on the follow-up.
With just under 15 minutes played, Sargent had another opportunity when Kenny McLean threaded a pass through to him. However, his cut back inside gave Bobby Thomas a chance to recover.
Coventry's best chances were of Norwich's own making, getting caught in possession on a couple of occasions but without being punished by the visiting side.
Haji Wright worried Angus Gunn with an effort in the closing stages of the half but the goalkeeper's positioning meant he was able to turn it behind, before also punching clear the resulting corner-kick.
Quickly after the restart, the Sky Blues nipped in front with a solo effort from O'Hare who beat Gunn from a tight angle.
A few minutes later, Wright cut in and attempted a similar effort but Gunn this time could get a foot on it to make the save.
After his introduction just before the hour, Ashley Barnes made a big impact. His through ball found Gabriel Sara in the left channel where Barnes then met his cross to volley goalward.
The initial effort was blocked but Sargent made no mistake with the rebound.
It soon got worse for Coventry when Liam Kitching was given a red card, taking down Sargent with just the goalkeeper left to beat the US international.
The resulting free-kick saw Sara's delicately lofted effort fly over via the crossbar.
The next big opportunity fell to the 10 men of Coventry but Gunn stood firm to deny Kasey Palmer when it looked like he had the goal at his mercy.
City jumped in front when Sainz curled what is fast becoming a trademark strike into the far corner after some clever link-up with Barnes on the edge of the penalty area.
Onel Hernández had a late chance to add a cushion to the scoreline but his effort was rising over Collins' crossbar.
Next up for City will be a trip to face QPR in the capital on February 10.
