Norwich City have completed the signing of 16-year-old Reece Wilkes from Sky Bet League One side Fleetwood Town.

Wilkes joins as a first-year scholar and will link up with our academy and development sides ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The midfielder made his first-team debut for Fleetwood aged only 15 in the EFL Trophy against Aston Villa Under-21s and has represented England at youth level.

Joining the club, Wilkes said: "I'm excited to get started here. I'm an attacking midfielder, but can play anywhere across the midfield. My game is about creating chances and obviously scoring goals from midfield. That's what I'm best at.

"The experiences (at Fleetwood) have helped me become a better player and a better person. I'm just ready to get started now. Excited for pre-season, it's been tough with exams but I'm glad to get them all done now and focus on football.

"I just want to get settled here, it's a long way from home. My first time away from home. I just want to help the team with as many goals and assists as possible."
