Kenny McLean and Josh Sargent scored as Norwich City concluded their pre-season with a 2-0 win over Greek side Olympiacos at Carrow Road.

The Scotsman broke the deadlock after 20 minutes, seeing his long-range effort wrong-foot the goalkeeper after a deflection.

In the second half, Sargent was the quickest to react as a Gabriel Sara free-kick caused chaos in the area.

There were first Carrow Road starts for summer signings Jack Stacey, Shane Duffy, Christian Fassnacht and Ashley Barnes, as well as an appearance off the bench for Kellen Fisher.

Sargent would register the game's first shot on goal, but the US international's effort was easy for Konstantinos Tzolakis to claim.

The opening goal almost fell to Norwich, as Onel Hernández's ball across goal was almost diverted goalwards by a host of attackers, before the Greek side eventually cleared their lines.

Norwich would take the lead moments after that chance, as McLean's strike from distance took a deflection to wrong-foot the Olympiacos goalkeeper.

A Sara free-kick was close to doubling the lead, but the Brazilian's set-piece was wide of the target.

Marious Vrousai had an opportunity for Olympiacos as the start of the second half, seeing his effort hit the side-netting.

Norwich would double the lead four minutes into the second half. Duffy rose highest to meet a Sara free-kick, with Sargent reacting quickest to bundle the ball over the line.

And he would find the back of the net again moments later, but had his effort ruled out for offside.

Georgios Masouras had an effort deflected, which meant it was a comfortable save for Angus Gunn.

Jonathan Rowe would also see a goal ruled out for offside after a good flick from Adam Idah, before Marcelino Núñez fired over with a free-kick.

The Chilean would try his luck with another set-piece, bending his free-kick just wide of the post as Norwich would run out 2-0 winners, finishing pre-season unbeaten.

The Canaries begin their Sky Bet Championship campaign next week (Saturday, August 5), as they host Hull City at Carrow Road.
