Norwich City Women are delighted to announce the signing of Poppy Groves from Leicester City Women PGA.
The 18-year-old joins the club on a professional contract and will bolster the midfield depth.
She spent most of her youth career in Foxes' academy, whilst also making a brief stint with Aston Villa Under-21s.
Groves also made three appearances on the bench for the senior team, getting a taste of WSL action.
On signing for the Canaries, she said: "It's such an exciting opportunity for me and I can't wait to get started. This is just another chance to prove myself.
"It's quite a big move for me, considering I'm from Leicestershire but I am excited to push on in my career.
"I can see from the facilities this is a great place and I know promotion is definitely something that we want to achieve, so I can't wait to be part of it."
Head of women's football, Flo Allen, said: "We are delighted to welcome Poppy to the club.
"She is a player with enormous potential and everything we’ve seen from her reflects a real hunger to work hard and keep improving.
"Poppy is a highly technical midfielder who also brings a competitive edge that will add real strength to our midfield unit.
"We’re excited to support her continued development and look forward to seeing the impact she will make with us."
