Carrow Road will once again host The Benjamin Foundation’s charity ‘Sleep Out’ on Thursday, November 11.
2021 sees the return of the fundraising event, following last year’s cancellation due to Covid-19, and challenges people to spend one night sleeping outside.
The Benjamin Foundation is a local charity which prevents youth homelessness in Norfolk and Suffolk. With an estimated 121,000 young people facing homeless in the UK last year, the foundation aims to help more vulnerable young people into successful, independent living by providing a safe home and support to learn essential life skills, as well as supporting their education and career aspirations.
The ‘Sleep Out’ events manager Jessica Glover said: “Money raised at Sleep Out enables us to do even more to help young people when they need us the most, supporting them to create the building blocks to successful, independent living.
“We are thrilled to bring our Sleep Out events back for 2021 in a Covid-safe way and we are grateful for the support of one of our exciting host venues, Norwich City Football Club.
“We are now calling on local people and businesses to get behind Sleep Out 2021 to make this our most successful year ever in order to help more local young people to finally feel hopeful of a better future.”
