The club are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Holly Mears from Nottingham Forrest Women, who joins on a professional contract.
Mears becomes the fourth new signing this summer for Andy Cook's side and the seventh player offered a contract within the women's team.
The 19-year-old arrives to Norwich having been a part of the Tier 3 side's squad for the 2024/25 season, achieving promotion with Forest to the Women's Super League 2.
Before being offered her first professional deal with the Reds in August last year, Mears joined Nottingham Forest on a dual registration in January of 2024, whilst she was also playing for Leicester City.
She was with the Foxes in the Women's Super League for nearly three seasons, gaining experience in the academy set-up and was part of the side that won the PGA Plate final in the 2023/24 season.
On signing a contract with the Canaries, Mears said: "It feels brilliant to be here now and I’m so excited to get started.
"This was a great opportunity that I just couldn’t miss and it is the right step for me to take.
"The environment at Leicester was amazing, the senior experience I gained there was top class. They gave me loads of exposure and it was a great way to help me develop."
Head of women's football Flo Allen said: "We are delighted to be welcoming Holly to the club.
"She is an exciting addition to our goalkeeping options and is a player who is eager to work hard, improve and develop. Holly has huge potential and will be a key player in the project we are building."
