Norwich City have completed the permanent signing of Sam Field from QPR.
Field joins on a three-year contract, with the club option of an additional year, for an undisclosed fee.
He previously spent the second half of last season on loan at the club, during which he made a total of 15 appearances in all competitions.
Speaking to canaries.co.uk, Field said: “It was a no-brainer in the end, I really enjoyed it at the end of last season.
"You could feel the energy around the place straight away; the people, fans, everything, the whole area, I just really enjoyed it.
"I think Philippe (Clement) worked me out quite quickly and I’ve got a huge amount of respect for him and he was obviously a big pull.
"When I first came here, he had only been in charge for a couple of months, but the way the players were speaking about him sounded really promising.
"It is such a nice feeling that you’ve already seen the fans and know the club. I’m really excited to get going.”
Sporting director, Ben Knapper, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Sam and his family back to Norwich City, this time with him formally as our player!
"From the minute he arrived back in early February, Sam slotted seamlessly into our environment and became an important member of the squad over the course of a really good second half of the season.
"His performances were of a very good level and his all-round influence was extremely positive. He is an assured, reliable operator who brings real stability and leadership to the group.
"Being here permanently will allow him to continue to build on the strong start he has made with us, hopefully leading to him making even more impact for us as we chase down our targets going forwards."
The transfer is subject to approval from The FA and EFL.
