Club collaborate with Blakely and NUA on competition

Norwich City recently collaborated with Norwich University of the Arts and our principal partners Blakely on a competition for students.

For the competition, NUA students were offered a brief with guidelines from both brands and a timeframe to provide an item for the Norwich City x Blakely dual-branded collection.

Ella Tetley was the overall winner of the competition, while four others were shortlisted and invited to Carrow Road to pitch their designs to industry personnel from the club and Blakely.

Ella was then presented with her design as a prototype and a voucher for Blakely ahead of our recent Sky Bet Championship fixture against Middlesbrough.

Dex Walker-Legon and Jessie Palmer were given the prize for second and third place.

Our winner, Ella, said: "As a concept artist and fan of Norwich City, it was a huge opportunity for me, I had a lot of fun making the different designs and I have had an amazing experience working with Blakely and the club."

Norwich City senior brand manager Romana Buccianti also commented: "As an alumna of NUA myself, it was a real pleasure to welcome the five finalists to Carrow Road to hear their design process. The creativity and individuality in each submission was inspiring and it was fantastic to give the students the opportunity to present their work in person to us. Collaborations like this are a powerful way to connect sport, fashion and local creatives.

"The winning design stood out because she truly delivered on the brief. Ella had clearly done thorough research into both brands, exploring not just what worked but also what didn’t. The end result was a concept that brought Blakely and Norwich City together in a way that was well considered and effective, whilst championing one of the club’s historic achievements."

Rhys Edwards, brand and design senior assistant, added: "We’re thrilled to have been able to invite students from Norwich University of the Arts to take part in this exciting live collaboration brief with Blakely and Norwich City, working on the upcoming dual branding collection.

"It’s been a fantastic opportunity to highlight local talent and celebrate the creative spirit that makes our city so special. A huge thank you to all the students who took the time to design and submit their amazing work."
