Norwich City will use digital ticketing at Carrow Road from the 2025/26 season, after partnering with provider SeatGeek.
Digital ticketing will deliver benefits such as easier ticket sharing between City fans, while supporting the club's sustainability objectives.
The move will require supporters to have tickets loaded onto their smartphone and stored in their Apple or Google Wallets to gain entry to home fixtures using the existing contactless readers at turnstiles and entry points.
The change will apply to season and match tickets; a link to download season tickets will be emailed on the week commencing June 23, at which point supporters will be encouraged to download and store their ticket on their mobile device.
Ollie Applegate, head of technology for Norwich City said: “Digital ticketing is used at venues around the world and its introduction at Carrow Road will help the club towards its sustainability goals as well as improving the supporter experience with features such as easier ticket sharing between fellow Norwich City fans.
“Most supporters will already be using this technology, known as NFC (Near Field Communication), in their daily lives, for example when using their mobile device to make a contactless payment in the supermarket or by downloading a digital train ticket to their phones.
“Supporters with season tickets will already have used NFC to access Carrow Road when tapping their season cards on the contactless readers at turnstiles.
“This ticketing change will simply mean that they are tapping their phones, which will need to be preloaded with their digital ticket, instead of tapping a physical season card.”

Season ticket holders will receive an email today to the address registered with their OneCity account, while hospitality season ticket holders will receive a communication at a later date.
