Club to champion sustainability at Leeds fixture

Norwich City Football Club will champion sustainability practices at this weekend’s match against Leeds United on Sunday, October 31 (2pm kick-off).

The club has been working hard to become a more sustainable organisation on and off the pitch and is looking forward to showcasing the good work on Saturday, as well as exploring room for improvement.

The club is also encouraging supporters to make small changes to their matchday ritual for Sunday’s game, in a bid to become more sustainable.

To find out about the changes the club has undergone, as well as how you can get involved, see below, or click here.

Since 2020, the club has worked with its sustainability partner MM Kotkamills to look at ways of reducing its carbon footprint. During this period, a number of measures have been implemented across all club sites.

The work of the Greener Together partnership has been recognised across the football, sponsorship and sustainability industries.

Furthermore, the club was also invited by the British embassy in Finland to produce a video in the build-up to the COP26 summit on climate change. View the video here:

Ahead of Sunday’s game, the club is looking for people to nominate their Greenest Yellows – those people who’ve made significant changes in their personal or work lives, or in their communities, to become more sustainable.
