Andy Cook sat down with the media for the first time after being appointed Norwich City Women head coach.
The head coach was joined by Flo Allen in a press conference at Carrow Road.
"To be able to work here with Flo, the staff and players is exciting," Cook said. "I'm looking forward to kicking on.
"If you're playing monopoly with your family on Christmas day, you want to win. We want to win football matches. We'll find a way to do that but we'll earn the right to play. The goal is to win every time that we play.
"The players are determined to go one better than they did last season. Ultimately, what the players did last season, we'll be able to use that. We'll try and get things right in pre-season, get to know each other and be in a good place in August."
Cook joined the Canaries after a previous spell at Newcastle United, and highlighted similarities between the two clubs and their projects.
"It's a big move. Newcastle was a fantastic project to be part of. The infrastructure at Newcastle is nothing like anything else in the country. For me, I want to be a head coach. I want to be part of something that will build and grow, and that's exactly what we've got here.
"Everything is there to keep progressing and striving. We just need to make sure we work well, it'll be slow, week by week. The facilities here are like a secret, as good as any place I've worked before.
"The club is producing good players, I'm keen to work with the people in the pathway. I like to get to know the area and the people wherever I am.
"The squad were good. A few of the girls know players I've worked with recently and fortunately they've said good things. Tonight, we start working on the pitch.
"We're here to win games. We're going to fight and battle for every ball, every pass, every tackle. When you get that right, then it's time to put on a show."
