José Córdoba was part of the Panama side that scored a 94th-minute winner to defeat the USA in the semi-final of the Concacaf Nations League on Thursday in Los Angeles.
Córdoba was going head-to-head with City team-mate Josh Sargent, whose USA team were unable to convert the bulk of possession and chances before Panama's Cecilio Waterman fired a low shot across goal to decide the tie late on.
Panama will face Mexico in Sunday night's final at SoFi Stadium, while the USA will play Canada in a third-place play-off. It will be the first time that a team other than the USA will be crowned champions since the tournament's inception in the 2019/20 season.
